Easter - A 5 day weekend

Easter in OZ this year came with a five day weekend. Friday (Good Friday), Monday (Anzac Day) and Tuesday (Easter Holiday). Here is what we did.

Day 1 - Good Friday.

The morning started off with hot cross buns and a strata.
Even though it was a public holiday Jamie needed to go into the office to catch up on some work, so we headed to the park.
Day 2 - Easter Saturday

Lazy day at home.

Day 3 - Easter Sunday

Annmarie woke up to a bunch of goodies from the Easter bunny, Nana and Grandma and Papa.
AM asked for The Kind Book and chocolate form the Easter bunny. He brought her both. The When I'm feeling Kind book is a really sweet book from Australian author Trace Moroney, there is whole series of books about different emotions. They have this particular book at AM's preschool; it's one of her favorites.

She also got some Thomas the Train goodies from her grandparents and a big sister T-Shirt.

For breakfast we had fruit and baked french toast. The picture of the french toast is not all that impressive, but the bottom of the pan is loaded with butter and brown sugar.
We headed out to a little market they were having at palm beach.
Then later that evening we went to Dunes for Easter dinner.
Day 4 - Anzac Day

Anzac Day appears to be a pretty big deal here. It's similar to the US Memorial Day or Veterans Day. Even our small town has a little parade, however because it was stormy all day we skipped out. We had another lazy day at home and Jamie worked again, so much for a 5 day weekend for him.

Day 5 - Easter Tuesday

Jamie took AM and my parents to Bobbin Head. I stayed home because I have been trying to recover from a ridiculous cough.
And that's a wrap.
