Boston and Birds

On Monday Jamie ran the Boston marathon. He may or may not blog about the whole event, so in case he doesn’t I just thought I would post a little something. He flew back to Boston last week and met up with his Dad and our good friend Bonnie. He also had a handful of his running buddies running the race. Besides the race he also got to go to Fenway Park, eat lobster, and had two layovers in SF and was able to see some family and friends.

Jamie posted this on Facebook about the race.

Not the time he had planned on, but we are proud of him nonetheless. I'm in awe that anyone can even run a marathon regardless of time.

Bonnie posted this picture on FB. :)

And here is a group shot of Jamie's running buddies.
Meanwhile here in OZ we where anxiously waiting his arrival.

We picked up these delightful pastries.
And Annmarie made Jamie this card.
As we were welcoming Jamie home and hearing about his trip, swarms of birds started flying around our house. We went out on the veranda to get a better look and one Cockatoo landed right on our ledge.
We've seen this guy before. We know this because of the missing foot.
So we all had to take our picture with him.
There where also lots of rainbow birdies.
Of course some shots of AM.
We celebrated the evening, which by the way was beautiful, (we have been having some great weather) with grilling some steaks and enjoying our treats.
Congratulations Jamie! We are glad to have you home.
