Summer Holiday {More Video}

I know - I have I thing for making videos right now.

Here are moments from the beginning of our summer holiday (basically the time Jamie had off from work). Annmarie is still on summer break and goes back to school at the end of Jan.

Here are some pics that didn't make it in the video.

We went into Sydney to see the Dinosaur exhibit - it was loved by all.

We also played tourist and went to Manly for the day. It was crazy full, but we still had fun. We got there early enough and managed to find parking. This picture was taken as we were leaving. We brought the kids scooters, had lunch and walked/scooted over to Shelly Beach for a swim.

 Too sweet. And I think he didn't even push her away or pull her hair.

 The one day I brought my real camera to the beach.

It's a shame Jamie had to go back to work.

School Holidays

We kept things pretty low key during Annmarie's school holidays. We visited Dad at work, baked, went the beach and park, and saw some friends.  The highlight of the holiday was the weekend Annmarie and I spent in Sydney, but I'll post about that in a separate post.

Easter

It was like two weeks ago now, but here is some of what we did.

The four day weekend started with Jamie getting home from Japan and heading out for lunch at the Warriewood beach Cafe.

Since Jamie was gone all week, he took Annmarie to a birthday party on Saturday and Ben tagged along so I could have some time to myself. He sent me this picture of Ben on a little bush walk.

Sunday morning rolled around with a little visit from the Easter Bunny and packages from the grandparents.

I printed out this big coloring sheet for Annmarie and her and I enjoyed coloring it in.

We also did family portraits, here is my rendition :).

Annmarie had yet another party on Sunday (busy girl) and because I didn't feel like cooking we went out to Barbuto and I enjoyed this tasty Easter crab burger and Ben nearly ate all my hot chips.

Earlier in the week Annmarie had a Easter hat parade at school.

And Ben had a egg hunt at his playgroup.

Also, here is a little video of these two events.  You can probably tell from the pictures, but we have been having an incredible Indian Summer here in Sydney, the weather has been perfect.  And having four days off was a nice break for all of us.

Carnivore!

Annmarie has pretty much refused any and all meat with the exception of ham lunch meat. We have tried shredded chicken, ground hamburger, meatballs. All baby friendly meats. Today Jamie grilled some amazing lamb chops. I thought it would be funny to give Annmarie the bones with a little of the meat on them to see what she would do. She apparently thought they were tasty. Go figure that she likes the $13 a pound lamb chops.
