Ben :: Four Months

Ben turned four months while we were on holiday. Here are some things I want to remember about this month.

He loves to eat. When he's hungry, he's hungry and there is no stalling him. I have no idea how much he weighs, but he's huge. I'm told this at least 50 times a day by strangers how big he is. He feels heavier everyday. Not easy on the back, but makes for a great cuddle.

Sleep has gotten better and he will typically go to sleep on his own. We had a rough week during the month when he decided he didn't want to sleep, but fortunately that has gotten better. He gets a good 11 to 12 hour stretch of sleep at night, but is up twice to eat. Thankfully, he goes right back to sleep after he eats. And he wakes up with the best gummy smiles - melts your heart. Almost makes up for having to get up twice during the night, right. Right? He also sleeps in this awesome sleep suit thing, which he loves. Naps are pretty regular, three a day, four if one is too short. He goes down pretty easily for his naps, but sometimes fights the last evening one.

Looks like his eyes are staying blue. Heaps of drool. Loves his hands and anyone else who may be holding him. He is constantly moving and flailing his arms and legs.

He's a total joy to be around (unless he's hungry and is waiting to be fed).
